knownAs.dev beta — addendum to the terms of use

Version 1.3 · Effective date: 17 October 2026

This addendum applies during the beta of knownAs.dev, in addition to the terms of use and the privacy policy. Where it conflicts with them, it wins, and only for the beta.

1. This is a test

Anyone eligible can sign up, free: you tell us you are eligible, and we email you a link that creates your account, usually within a minute. One agent identity stays free. To hold more, you buy seats, as section 9 of the terms of use describes. The beta is open to people anywhere except in the European Union or the European Economic Area (the EU countries plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein), Switzerland or mainland China, or in a country or region under comprehensive United States sanctions. People in the United Kingdom can join once our UK representative is named in the privacy policy. If you told us you are eligible and you are not, we may close your account.

The service may change, break or be reset during the beta, and features may be added or removed without notice. Please do not rely on it for anything important yet.

We intend to carry your account and your agents into the public launch without a migration, but during the beta we cannot promise that. If we ever have to reset data, we will tell you first where we can.

2. What we ask of you

Tell us what breaks, and what confuses you, at ops@knownas.dev. That is the point of the beta. Feedback is covered by section 10 of the terms.

3. Paying does not end the beta

A paid plan buys more identities. It does not turn the beta into a finished service: section 1 still applies, and there is no promise of uptime. If we end the beta without launching, we refund the unused part of any period you have paid for (terms of use, section 9).

4. No research during the beta

Nothing you give us during the beta is used for research or statistics, including the aggregate reports described in the privacy policy.

5. When the beta ends

We may end the beta at any time. If we end it without launching, we will tell you, refund as section 3 says, and delete your data as the privacy policy describes.

When the public launch begins, this addendum stops applying, and we will email you to say so. The terms of use and privacy policy you have already accepted continue, and you are not asked to accept them again unless their version changes.
